This is one of the six GameWorks locations closed on March 29, 2010, along with the ones in Detroit, Minneapolis, Tampa, Miami, and Indianapolis. The post on the door reads "Dear GameWorks guests, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been forced to close this GameWorks location." No reports yet on what is to blame, but the chain's management is suspect. The former GameWorks is in the indoor part of the mall next to the West parking garage. No minors after 10pm. It was undoubtedly the biggest and best arcade in Columbus, but also the most expensive. Street Fighter IV is in two linked New Net City cabinets and is $1.00 per play. The Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion is also $1.00 per play. Non-redemption games are $10 for unlimited play from 9pm to midnight on Thursday nights. This arcade's Class of 1981 cocktail table is in the restaurant part, apart from the rest of the arcade. A section of the top floor containing Derby Owners Club, Mr. Driller, and Asteroids is sometimes closed for private parties.
