As for me, I've lived in Orlando, FL for the last 8 years and like it here for the most part. Might not be the best arcade community in the US, but there's a huge developer community which is my other passion.

I started going to arcades thanks to Dance Dance Revolution back in 2001. That brought me into a few different music games (or Bemani games), although I never got to the point that I'd call myself "good". I like 2d scrolling shooters like Zero Gunner, 1942 and Ikaruga. There's a lot of shooters people recommend, but unfortunately Orlando has a limited selection as far as arcades go.

When it comes to home gaming, I prefer Xbox 360, mostly because that's the only "new" console I've picked up. I'll probably get a PS3 for a Blueray player, and probably play the next FF on it (even though it'll be available on Xbox, I imagine it'll be better somehow on PS3 -- metal gear ruined me).
